Squirrel Control for Florida
Squirrel
The primary problem squirrels cause is breaking into a building's attic to safely nest. Residents usually realize they have a squirrel problem when they hear scurrying,
scratching, or gnawing coming from the attic.
More important than the irritation of the squirrels presence and the noise they create, is the
possibility that they will chew wires or plumbing and thus represent a fire hazzard or a potential plumbing catastrophe.
Wildlife Patrol
solves squirrel invasions permanently through a 4 step process.
1). Inspection
Wildlife Patrol first inspects the entire rooftop and attic looking at damage,
droppings, and tracks to determine to confirm the problem animal is indeed squirrel (and not rat, raccoon or opossum). We then look to find how the animals are entering the building. For squirrels, there may be many active entry points and future vulnerable areas
because of their small size and incredible climbing and chewing abilities. Lastly, we determine the best locations to trap and which type of squirrel trap should be used based on the structure's architecture.
2). Trapping Squirrel trapping most often takes place on the outside
of building directly at the building's entry points. Occasionally trapping takes place elsewhere on the roof or inside the attic depending on what is found during the inspection. In almost all situations, the squirrels
are safely trapped alive and relocated miles away from the property to ensure they will never return.
3). Repairs Closing all the entry points is essential to solve the problem and reinforcing vulnerable areas is the key to squirrel proofing a home. The areas needing repairs are determined during the inspection.
Wildlife Patrol performs repairs to last permantly and guarantees every site we work on against re-entry for 1 year. The repairs and trap setup are performed at the same time.
4). Decontamination After the problem squirrels have been trapped and the building sealed, Wildlife Patrol offers decontamination services to eliminate the animal mess.
Decontamination involves a) physically removing as much of the squirrel feces as possible using a power vaccuum and
b) applying Bioshield through an atomizing sprayer to break down rodent urine and oils. |
